This Privacy Policy explains how Creative Koncepts Media LLC ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use ReCaption ("the Extension", "the Product"), an AI-powered caption correction and generation extension for Adobe Premiere Pro. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Personal Information You Provide

When you register for a ReCaption account, we collect:

1.2 Payment Information

When you purchase a subscription, your payment information (credit card number, billing address) is collected and processed directly by Stripe. We do not store, access, or process your full credit card details on our servers. We receive only a confirmation of payment status, transaction ID, and the last four digits of your card from Stripe.

1.3 Content Data Processed Through AI Services

When you use ReCaption's AI features, the following data is transmitted to third-party AI providers:

Audio data: When you use the "Generate from Audio" feature, audio from your Premiere Pro timeline is extracted locally on your computer and sent to the Whisper API (hosted by Groq) for transcription. Audio is transmitted only when you explicitly initiate a generation action.
Caption text: When you use caption correction features, your caption text is sent to the Claude API (Anthropic) for grammar, spelling, punctuation, and filler word correction. Text is transmitted only when you explicitly initiate a correction action.

We do not store your audio files or caption text on our servers. This data is transmitted directly from the Extension to the respective AI provider, processed, and the result is returned to the Extension.

1.4 Usage Data

We may collect basic usage information to improve the Product, including:

Number of corrections performed (for free trial tracking and billing).
Feature usage patterns (which tools are used most).
Extension version and Premiere Pro version.
Operating system (Mac or Windows).
Error logs when the Extension encounters issues.

This data is collected in aggregate and is not linked to the content of your captions or audio.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

Provide the Service: Process your captions and audio through AI services, manage your account, and deliver the Extension.
Billing and Payments: Process subscriptions, manage free trial usage, and handle refunds via Stripe.
Customer Support: Respond to your inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical assistance.
Product Improvement: Analyze aggregate usage patterns to improve features, fix bugs, and develop new functionality.
Communications: Send transactional emails (purchase confirmations, license keys, account updates) and, with your consent, product announcements and updates.

We do not use your personal information for advertising, and we do not sell your data to third parties.

3. Third-Party Service Providers

We share data with the following third-party services, strictly as needed to provide the Product:

Audio and caption data is not stored on our servers. It is transmitted to AI providers for processing and discarded after the response is returned.
Payment records are retained by Stripe according to their retention policies and applicable financial regulations.
Usage analytics are retained in aggregate form and are not personally identifiable.

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including:

All data transmitted between the Extension and our servers uses TLS/HTTPS encryption.
API keys and authentication tokens are stored securely and never exposed to client-side code.
Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms.
Access to user data is limited to authorized personnel only.

While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights and Choices

7. Cookies and Tracking

The ReCaption website (recaption.co) may use minimal cookies for:

Essential functionality: Session management, authentication state.
Analytics: Aggregate, anonymized traffic data to understand how visitors use the site.

The Extension itself does not use cookies or web tracking technologies. It communicates with our API servers solely for authentication, license validation, and AI processing.

8. Children's Privacy

ReCaption is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 18, we will delete it promptly. 9. International Data Transfers

ReCaption is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your data may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate.
